I'm Sarah, the glass and mosaic artist behind Fragments of Africa.
I’m a self-taught artist with an insatiable curiosity and love for nature, which is grounded in an academic background in biology.
I use glass to create highly-detailed, innovative and unique mosaics for homes, gardens and businesses.
I am the very proud owner of a Sarah Pryke mosaic artwork! A thousand thank you’s for the care you took in sending it to the other side of the world. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition thanks to the excellent packing. The artwork is absolutely phenomenal, even better than the picture on the website. Just incredible!

Bold, brilliant, original art... I own two from Sarah's birds and nests series. Not only are the birds intricately made from glass shards she then made a weavers nest from copper wire and a swallows nest from plaster and grass - they look like the birds made it themselves! In a world full of generic soul-less objects it is lovely to be able to own art which has been so individually designed and crafted.

WOW, we absolutely LOVE our mosaic of the sunbirds drinking from a dripping tap. I cannot tell you how exciting it was to receive the parcel from the courier and open it. I have never seen such original and unique artwork. I am in awe of it everyday. It brings me so much joy and the colours change through the day, just like nature. It is my most prized possession! I cannot thank you enough.

I commissioned a landscape of proteas to fit into my conservatory. I wanted something similar to one of Sarah’s mosaics that had blown me away (but which had sold). In the end I got an original artwork that exactly fitted my space and was even better that I could ever have dreamed of… The whole commission process was so easy and I loved Sarah’s easy going and fun manner, yet meticulous attention to detail and awesome creativity. I will definitely be back for more!!

When I saw the mosaic of the birds at dripping taps at Piggly Wiggly in the Midlands I knew it was coming home with me! I also knew just where I would put it… on my veranda! I lie on my outdoor sofa and look at it every day and it fills me with so much joy and tranquility… I love Sarah’s unbelievably creative and innovative artwork…. it has so many dimensions and is so original… It is not mosaic; it is fine art at its very best. This is not my first art piece from Sarah (think I’m on number 3 now) and it won’t be my last.
